Question: Any scoop on Leonard and Penny on The Big Bang Theory? As long as they’re not heading for another break-up, I’ll be happy! —Roxanne
Ausiello: They’ll still be together when the new season picks up, but in the wake of his ill-advised marriage proposal “things are a little weird,” shares exec producer Steve Molaro. “Leonard’s trying to make things better. His first thought is to have a nice night that’s all about her. And things may not go as planned, shockingly.”
Some New “The Big Bang Theory” Scoop From E! Online
E! Online talked to “The Big Bang Theory” showrunner Bill Prady about what to expect in season 6, and he dropped some new Penny/Leonard scoop!
“What we’ve always said about Penny and Leonard is they met each other at the wrong time in their lives,” Prady tells us of the fan favorite couple. “They met each other at a time when Leonard is ready to settle down and Penny isn’t yet and it will make things rocky for a while. And I think that until she grows up a little bit —and I don’t mean emotionally, I mean chronologically—I think they have challenges.”
Whether Leonard will wait is anyone’s guess, but we’re rooting for them.

Jessica, in Miami: Any Big Bang Theory info? I am sooo sick of this back and forth with Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco)!
We are right there with ya honeychild and apparently so is Big Bang honcho Chuck Lorre! When we caught up with Lorre we made sure to ask what’s coming up for our favorite beauty and the geek couple and he said this of their future: “That relationship is going to have to find its way forward or get out.” Sounds like it’s going to be all or nothing people! Which way are you hoping the electrons will turn?

Candice in Newport Beach, Calif: Some Big Bang Theory scoop would make my day!
Thursday’s 100th episode of The Big Bang Theory is almost here and we have absolutely nothing to tell you…aBazinga! Of course we do! Kaley Cuoco revealed to us, “It’s like nothing we’ve ever done before, it’s kind of a mind game and you wont figure it out until the end, it’s really interesting, it’s special, it’s different.” The Leonard and Penny relationship will be “teased” in this episode and Cuoco says she’s keeping her fingers crossed they’ll give it another go, “At the end of the day I want it to work and I think everyone wants to know the love of their life lives next door.” Awww!
There’s some new scoop about what’s coming up on “The Big Bang Theory” from Ask Ausiello.
Question: Is there any hope on the horizon for The Big Bang Theory‘s Leonard and Penny? —Farsad
Ausiello: Can’t confirm hope. Can confirm a very awkward date. In the Nov. 10 episode, Leonard is thrown for a loop when Penny invites him to the movies with her. He’s not really sure what to make of it — particularly since they haven’t really hung out alone together since their breakup. (Here’s hoping Penny has enough sense to lay off the sauce.)
When The Big Bang Theory beams back Sheldon’s archnemesis, Wil Wheaton, on the October 13 episode, the Star Trek: The Next Generation alum will be joined by Brent Spiner, aka Commander Data. While Sheldon (Jim Parsons) has despised Wil ever since he failed to show at a sci-fi convention, exec producer Bill Prady believes that “of all the Star Trek characters Sheldon would love the most, we thought Data, the android [who has] trouble fitting in and wants emotions, is pretty close to his heart.”
On principle, Sheldon declines an invite to a party at Wil’s house, but “I attend and share root beer with Brent,” teases Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard. “Sheldon is very upset with Leonard for going, seeing it as a betrayal to their friendship.” But expect some party crashing: “It will be hard for Sheldon to stay away,” adds Prady.
Costar Kaley Cuoco admits that, like her character Penny, she’s one of the few people on set who doesn’t get the whole Star Trek fascination. “I was like, ‘And you are?'” she says of the guest stars. “Absolutely no clue.”
Kaley Cuoco shared some more scoop about season 5 of “The Big Bang Theory” and about her character Penny to Matt’s Inside Line. You can read about it below!
The Big Bang Theory | While speaking with Kaley Cuoco for this Vegas Magazine cover story, I asked for a sneak peek at the coming season of the EMMY-NOMINATED Big Bang Theory. She said that considering how Penny fell into bed with Raj in the May finale, the early run of new episodes will cover “alllll the aftermath. I mean, I don’t know HOW shes going to come back from that! It took her four eyars to really be close with these guys, and now shes kinda ruined it a little.” At the very least, she says it will set back any rekindling of her romance with Leonard “a little longer.” Whatever the fallout, that season-ending “walk of shame” scene stands as one of Cuoco’s all-time favorites. “There was something about all five of us – the core– ending up in the apartment together and looking at each other like, ‘OK, we’re four seasons in and this is where we’ve ended up,’ that was just kind of a beautiful.”
As somewhat of a socially-awkward nerdy-type myself, I would love to know about the future of Penny and Raj on THE BIG BANG THEORY. Statistically speaking, what would you say their chances of working out are? — Kevin
The TV Addict: Okay, here’s the thing. The first thing you should know about the TV Addict, is that if we had even the slightest smidgen of talent in the department of mathematics, we would not be sitting at our desk this morning writing about television. Secondly, Raj and Penny’s future romantic prospects during the upcoming fifth season of THE BIG BANG THEORY is what we would call a classic good news/bad news situation. On the bad news front: All evidence is pointing to Penny and Raj not living happily ever after. But, before you bury your head in World of Warcraft for the three days, we’ve got — you guessed it — some good news for you. The friendship forged courtesy of their unexpected night of passion during May’s season finale looks to be leading towards Penny introducing Raj to his ideal match. Which is to say, fans should brace themselves for the arrival a beautiful love interest for Raj who, in a twist befitting the brilliance of the BIG BANG THEORY, won’t require the not-so-talkative Raj to strike up a verbal conversation because…. drumroll please… she’s deaf!
Kaley Cuoco has admitted that she has no idea what will happen between Penny and Raj in the next season of The Big Bang Theory.
In the show’s recent season finale, it emerged that Penny and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) had spent the night together.
However, Cuoco confessed that she isn’t sure what will happen next.
“Last season was crazy,” she told Access Hollywood. “I think the writers have a lot of explaining to do. [Executive producer] Bill Prady said all the questions that you have will be answered, so that’s a good sign.”
Cuoco also revealed that she believes Penny and Raj did sleep together but added: “I don’t know, maybe that’ll change. It seemed that way, but you know TV, you never know what can switch around. But I know it’s going to cause some strife between her and the guys.”
Cuoco hinted that she doesn’t think Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is “going to be very happy” but suggested that he is unlikely to become involved in a fight with Raj.
“It’s so hard to get mad at little Raj,” she said. “Maybe he will. Maybe there’ll be some punching.”
Nayyar has previously admitted that he was shocked by the twist, while Prady has suggested that the fling will have a big impact on Penny.
However, Prady has also hinted that the show will focus less on romantic storylines in the future.
The Big Bang Theory will return for a new season on September 22 on CBS.
When Emmy-nominated CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” returns to CBS on September 20, fans are going to get to find out if Kaley Cuoco’s character, Penny, really got together with Kunal Nayyar’s character, Raj.
“Yeah, last season was crazy. I think the writers have a lot of explaining to do,” Kaley told Access Hollywood at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend. “[Producer/Showrrunner] Bill Prady said all the questions that you have will be answered, so that’s a good sign.”
In the season finale of the hit comedy about a group of geeky eggheads and their delightful neighbor, Penny and Raj woke up in the same bed, and Kaley thinks that left little to interpretation.
“I think they did [get together], but I don’t know, maybe that’ll change,” she said. “It seemed that way, but you know TV, you never know what can switch around. But I know it’s going to cause some strife between her and the guys.”
And it will also cause strife for poor Leonard, played by first time Lead Actor in a Comedy series Emmy nominee, Johnny Galecki, who continues to hold a candle for Penny.
“I don’t think he’s going to be very happy,” Kaley added.
But could things get physical on Leonard’s part.
“I don’t know, because it’s so hard to get mad at little Raj. Maybe he will,” she nodded. “Maybe there’ll be some punching.”
Beyond hookups, producers previously revealed there will be a wedding this season, but it likely won’t be Penny and Raj.
“I think it’s gonna be Bernadette and Howard,” Kaley said, referring to the characters played by Melissa Rauch and Simon Helberg. “I’m assuming, which would be great. Season 5 — that sounds about right for a show to have a wedding. I think that would be lovely. And what a blast.”
And it allows Kaley a few more episodes without undergoing any TV nuptials herself.
“No, that’s OK,” she said when Access pointed out that meant no wedding dress fittings for Penny. “We can wait a little longer.”
