When dating co-stars split, the result always has an impact on the series. The best/worst example of this has to be Jennifer Garner and Alias co-star Michael Vartan’s split, which saw his character Vaughn sidelined for almost all of the final season.

So when I found out that The Big Bang Theory co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki had not only dated, but recently split, I got scared for the future of the cranium-caressing comedy.

However, the two have proved to be the exception to the rule as they’ve not only carried themselves with class, but actually seem to have remained good friends. “I’m so lucky it was a mutual ending and that we don’t hate each other,” Kaley told CBS Watch magazine last year. “We’ve seen that happen on other shows.”

If you need further proof that Kaley isn’t simply toeing the party line, check out this exclusive clip off the just-released Big Bang Theory season four DVD’s, where Kaley jokingly interviews her ex!

Kaley Cuoco shared some more scoop about season 5 of “The Big Bang Theory” and about her character Penny to Matt’s Inside Line. You can read about it below!

The Big Bang Theory | While speaking with Kaley Cuoco for this Vegas Magazine cover story, I asked for a sneak peek at the coming season of the EMMY-NOMINATED Big Bang Theory. She said that considering how Penny fell into bed with Raj in the May finale, the early run of new episodes will cover “alllll the aftermath. I mean, I don’t know HOW shes going to come back from that! It took her four eyars to really be close with these guys, and now shes kinda ruined it a little.” At the very least, she says it will set back any rekindling of her romance with Leonard “a little longer.” Whatever the fallout, that season-ending “walk of shame” scene stands as one of Cuoco’s all-time favorites. “There was something about all five of us – the core– ending up in the apartment together and looking at each other like, ‘OK, we’re four seasons in and this is where we’ve ended up,’ that was just kind of a beautiful.”

Missing your Big Bang Theory fix? We have a remedy that should take the edge off.

In this exclusive first look at the new BBT promo, Penny, Leonard, Sheldon and the whole gang are shaking it hardcore and looking awkwardly awesome while doing it. And how is this for a nice coincidence? The song in the promo, appropriately titled “That Big Bang,” is from Rock Mafia, who exclusively premiered their crazy video (starring Miley Cyrus) on E! Online last year. And now we’re full circle.

Ever wonder what it looks like when a bunch of nerds get together to break it down, dance-style? Also, how cute is Kaley Cuoco? Or Jim Parsons?

This video should give you all the answers you need to those questions.

Big Bang Theory returns to CBS Sept. 22.

As somewhat of a socially-awkward nerdy-type myself, I would love to know about the future of Penny and Raj on THE BIG BANG THEORY. Statistically speaking, what would you say their chances of working out are? — Kevin
The TV Addict: Okay, here’s the thing. The first thing you should know about the TV Addict, is that if we had even the slightest smidgen of talent in the department of mathematics, we would not be sitting at our desk this morning writing about television. Secondly, Raj and Penny’s future romantic prospects during the upcoming fifth season of THE BIG BANG THEORY is what we would call a classic good news/bad news situation. On the bad news front: All evidence is pointing to Penny and Raj not living happily ever after. But, before you bury your head in World of Warcraft for the three days, we’ve got — you guessed it — some good news for you. The friendship forged courtesy of their unexpected night of passion during May’s season finale looks to be leading towards Penny introducing Raj to his ideal match. Which is to say, fans should brace themselves for the arrival a beautiful love interest for Raj who, in a twist befitting the brilliance of the BIG BANG THEORY, won’t require the not-so-talkative Raj to strike up a verbal conversation because…. drumroll please… she’s deaf!

Kaley Cuoco has admitted that she has no idea what will happen between Penny and Raj in the next season of The Big Bang Theory.

In the show’s recent season finale, it emerged that Penny and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) had spent the night together.

However, Cuoco confessed that she isn’t sure what will happen next.

“Last season was crazy,” she told Access Hollywood. “I think the writers have a lot of explaining to do. [Executive producer] Bill Prady said all the questions that you have will be answered, so that’s a good sign.”

Cuoco also revealed that she believes Penny and Raj did sleep together but added: “I don’t know, maybe that’ll change. It seemed that way, but you know TV, you never know what can switch around. But I know it’s going to cause some strife between her and the guys.”

Cuoco hinted that she doesn’t think Leonard (Johnny Galecki) is “going to be very happy” but suggested that he is unlikely to become involved in a fight with Raj.

“It’s so hard to get mad at little Raj,” she said. “Maybe he will. Maybe there’ll be some punching.”

Nayyar has previously admitted that he was shocked by the twist, while Prady has suggested that the fling will have a big impact on Penny.

However, Prady has also hinted that the show will focus less on romantic storylines in the future.

The Big Bang Theory will return for a new season on September 22 on CBS.

When Emmy-nominated CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” returns to CBS on September 20, fans are going to get to find out if Kaley Cuoco’s character, Penny, really got together with Kunal Nayyar’s character, Raj.

“Yeah, last season was crazy. I think the writers have a lot of explaining to do,” Kaley told Access Hollywood at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend. “[Producer/Showrrunner] Bill Prady said all the questions that you have will be answered, so that’s a good sign.”

In the season finale of the hit comedy about a group of geeky eggheads and their delightful neighbor, Penny and Raj woke up in the same bed, and Kaley thinks that left little to interpretation.

“I think they did [get together], but I don’t know, maybe that’ll change,” she said. “It seemed that way, but you know TV, you never know what can switch around. But I know it’s going to cause some strife between her and the guys.”

And it will also cause strife for poor Leonard, played by first time Lead Actor in a Comedy series Emmy nominee, Johnny Galecki, who continues to hold a candle for Penny.

“I don’t think he’s going to be very happy,” Kaley added.

But could things get physical on Leonard’s part.

“I don’t know, because it’s so hard to get mad at little Raj. Maybe he will,” she nodded. “Maybe there’ll be some punching.”

Beyond hookups, producers previously revealed there will be a wedding this season, but it likely won’t be Penny and Raj.

“I think it’s gonna be Bernadette and Howard,” Kaley said, referring to the characters played by Melissa Rauch and Simon Helberg. “I’m assuming, which would be great. Season 5 — that sounds about right for a show to have a wedding. I think that would be lovely. And what a blast.”

And it allows Kaley a few more episodes without undergoing any TV nuptials herself.

“No, that’s OK,” she said when Access pointed out that meant no wedding dress fittings for Penny. “We can wait a little longer.”
